EU Data Act Compliance Support

As a manufacturer of connected products and/or provider of associated services (so-called data holder), you are legally obliged by the EU Data Act from 12th September onwards to provide the user of your IoT device (so-called data user) with direct access to the data generated by his/her usage.

This data must also include all relevant metadata necessary to interpret and use those data. The data shall be made:

  • readily available,
  • accessible to the user without undue delay,
  • of the same quality as is available to the data holder,
  • easily and securely,
  • free of charge,
  • in a comprehensive, structured, commonly used and machine-readable format,
  • and, where relevant and technically feasible, continuously and in real-time.

We — from data revolution — want to assist you and your company in reaching compliance with the EU Data Act by offering a full-service of managing incoming Data Act requests as well as providing the data user with full access to his/her data via our platform.

Please be aware that in case of ignoring requests of your customers or other data users, the Data Act foresees a financial penalty scheme (though in detail specified by each Member State) that is supposed to enforce compliance as a last resort.
